PUPPY CONSULTATION
Raising a puppy requires patience, knowledge, and a lot of positive socialization. Whether you are thinking about bringing a new puppy into your family or you have just brought home your new puppy, it is important to prepare. During your In-Home Consultation we will explain the importance of puppy socialization and teach you how to handle nipping, housebreaking, chewing, crate training, and other typical puppy behaviors. Our consultation also includes a packet of resource materials along with 30 days of counseling via email with any additional concerns you may have.

What is Puppy Socialization?
Between the ages of 8 and 16 weeks is known as the sensitive period. Your puppy needs to be introduced to as many positive experiences with people, dogs, and novel items in her environment during this time. The more positive experiences your puppy has during this period the less fearful she will be when facing new things in the future.
Social Tailwaggers offers a 5 week Puppy Socialization Class for you and your puppy. A well run, puppy class is the best way to socialize your puppy in a safe environment. Find more information about how you and your puppy can attend our puppy classes under the Classes tab.
ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING
Social Tailwaggers Dog Training provides One-On-One Training at your home for basic manners and behavior issues. One-on-one training starts with a 1.5 to 2 hour at-home consultation to assess your dog and gather information pertaining to your goals. An individualized training plan is then designed for you and your dog based on your goals.
Appointments scheduled after the initial consultation are 1 hour in length, and can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. We understand everyone has a busy lifestyle and therefore we feel it is important to be flexible with our clients when working on a training plan. After each appointment, notes/homework is emailed to you to help you follow the training plan between appointments. We are always available via email to help you while you are working on your homework between appointments.

ANIMAL BEHAVIOR CONSULTATION
Does your dog exhibit aggression, fear, or unusual behaviors? We can help you work through these behaviors with the help of a Certified Animal Behaviorist. Our Certified Animal Behaviorist has over 30 years of experience working with a variety of animals. Contact email for additional information.
OVERNIGHT DOG SITTING
We sleep at your home and take care of your dog as if it were our own. We will even let your dog(s) sleep in bed with us if they are allowed! While you are on vacation your dog will feel like he is on his own vacation. We will take care of your precious dog like he is our own. We provide a minimum of 2 walks a day, plus enrichment through games and food dispensing toys. Photos and updates are provided daily. We also offer dog sitting at our home.
Want some training while you are away? We can help you! While you are gone we can provide in-home training using only positive reinforcement. Or, we can teach your dog some tricks. Just let know. (Additional fees apply for in-home training.)
