Raising a puppy requires patience, knowledge, and a lot of positive socialization. Whether you are thinking about bringing a new puppy into your family or you have just brought home your new puppy, it is important to prepare. Puppy socialization, crate training, nipping, and housebreaking are just a few of the many things we can help you with.
What is Puppy Socialization? Between the ages of 8 and 16 weeks is known as the sensitive period. Your puppy needs to be introduced to as many positive experiences with people, dogs, and novel items in her environment during this time. The more positive experiences your puppy has during this period the less fearful she will be when facing new things in the future.
During your In-home Consultation we will explain the importance of puppy socialization and teach you how to handle nipping, housebreaking, chewing and other normal puppy behaviors. Our consultation includes 30 days of counseling via email with any additional concerns you may have. Call us at (240) 882-4765 or email us now to set up your 1 ½ hour In-Home Puppy Consultation.
