ONE-ON-ONE IN-HOME TRAINING
Does your dog jump on you and your guests, pull you when you go for a walk, or chew everything in sight? Do you feel like you have tried everything to stop these behaviors but nothing has worked? Social Tailwaggers’ dog trainer and behavior consultant can help you.
Our philosophy is: First, to educate owners why dogs do what they do; and Second, show you how to teach your dog to have good manners using Operant Conditioning with Positive Reinforcement Training. We do not recommend jerking on the leash, choke, prong or shock collars when teaching your dog.
Our in home teaching is customized to your dog’s needs. We start with a no charge telephone consultation to determine what you and your dog’s needs are. Whether he needs the basics such as sit, down, and leash walking or help with behavioral problems such as resource guarding and jumping we can help.
Not all dog trainers are the same….Contact Social Tailwaggers and see why we are different. Call 240-882-4765 or email for our rates.

TEACHING FIDO BASIC MANNERS CLASSES
Teaching your dog the basics, i.e., sit, down, stay, come, and loose leash walking should be a fun and positive experience for both you and your dog. IT’S FUN TO SNIFF – SNIFFER CLASS
Are you looking for a fun class for your dog? Have you heard about sniffer classes? Your dog has over 200 MILLION scent receptors in his nose…no wonder he is constantly sniffing the ground! This fun class uses your dog’s natural ability to sniff and hunt for a hidden target scent. Upon finding the scent, your dog will alert you to its exact location. We start with teaching your dog how to find a dog treat. Your dog is challenged each week by finding new scents hidden under different objects. Sniffing provides physical and mental exercise, builds confidence in shy dogs, and strengthens the relationship between you and your dog. Sniffer classes are fun for you and your dog! This class is for all ages of dogs, 6 mos. and older. It is a group class with no previous training needed. Dogs must be dog/people friendly. Contact Social Tailwaggers Dog Training with questions and why your dog WANTS to take this class! This class will be held at Duniho-Nigh Community Park in Laurel.
