The first 16 weeks of a puppy’s life is considered the critical period for socialization (see the Puppy Socialization tab for more information.)      This 5-session class is designed to help your puppy become socialized to other puppies, learn bite inhibition, play properly with other puppies, gain confidence in their environment, and begin the basics (sit, down, here.)  This class is for puppies 8 to 16 weeks in age (puppies 17 to 22 weeks may still benefit from this class.)

Health Policy
Puppies may attend class 7 days after their first veterinary exam and vaccinations.  Your puppy must continue with the recommended schedule for exam and vaccinations until completed.  After registering for this class, a copy of your dog’s vaccination records must be emailed prior to the first class to show proof of vaccinations.  Send vaccination records to socialtailwaggers@gmail.com.

Any puppy with eye or nasal discharge, coughing, sneezing, wheezing, vomiting, loose stool, fleas, ticks, or skin irritations including missing hair or excessive scratching, should NOT attend class, and should see their veterinarian promptly.
