Teaching Fido Basic Manners Class

Teaching your dog the basics, i.e., sit, down, stay, come, and loose leash walking should be a fun and positive experience for both you and your dog.  This 7-week class is designed to teach these basic cues and then apply these cues to “life skills” such as:

• meet and greet while on leash,
• wait at the door,
• settle on a mat,
• loose leash walking,
• give it/take it, and
• leave it,
• impulse control,
• walking skills

All classes have between 3 and 5 dogs so you feel as if  you are receiving  “one-on-one” training.

This class is for dogs 5 months in age and older.

Prerequisites: Dogs must be people- and dog-friendly to attend class.  Not all dogs do well in a class environment.  If you are not sure whether your dog will do well in a class environment, please contact us before registering for the class.  All dogs must be fully vaccinated before attending class; vaccination records will be required before starting the class.

Saturdays, November 9 through December 21, 2024 (7 Weeks)

11:50 to 12:50 pm

Class 3:

Mondays, September 16 through October 28, 2024 (7 Weeks)

6:30 to 7:30 pm

Class 4:

Wednesdays, October 23 through December 11, 2024 (7 Weeks)

(No Class November 27th)

8:00 to 9:00 pm

 

Where:  Classes are located in Laurel, MD.  The address, directions, and information needed for the class will be sent to you once you are registered.

Fee:  $190.00 for 7 weeks
