What is Barkour for dogs? Dog barkour is also known as urban agility, it is a fun, non-competitive team sport with you and your dog and is based on the same principles as agility. It combines elements of human parkour and dog agility to create an accessible activity for dogs and humans alike. Dogs get introduced to the world of jumping, climbing, balancing on, crawling under, and going around different obstacles in their everyday world….obstacles such as boulders, fallen trees, playground equipment, tree stumps, fences, posts, park benches, walls, and whatever your imagination can come up with! It is a challenging, but fun, physical activity for your dog; parkour can be done anywhere. Dog Barkour helps with confidence and overcoming fears, and is a low impact but challenging activity for any canine athlete.
